On the 8th of May 2022, 150 assisted with the Oxford Town and Gown. The organisers had the following to say
Thank you for volunteering the air cadets’ time yesterday at our 40th Oxford Town and Gown. We were blown away by the support received - we couldn't have done it without them! Please see attached your certificate as a huge thanks for their help on the day.
It was wonderful to see new and regular faces come out to support the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK. Without our volunteers, this event would not be possible. It is only with your support can we put on such a fantastic event and raise vital funds for MDUK.
Over 4,000 runners put on their running shoes and took to the streets of Oxford. We are thrilled to share with you that over £200,000 has been raised - and counting! These funds will go to support those living with muscle-wasting conditions and their families, as well as fund groundbreaking research to help beat muscle-wasting conditions sooner.
